Didem Dizdaroğlu, İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi Mimarlık Fakültesi Peyzaj Mimarlığı Bölümü’nde Doktor Öğretim Üyesi olarak görev yapmaktadır. Lisans ve yüksek lisans derecelerini Peyzaj Mimarlığı alanında sırasıyla İstanbul Üniversitesi ve İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi’nden (İTÜ) almıştır. Doktora derecesini Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Avustralya, Şehir Planlama Bölümü’nden almıştır. Doktora tezi, kentsel gelişimin ekosistemler üzerindeki etkisini araştırmak ve sürdürülebilir kentsel gelişim için etkili çevre politikaları önermek üzere politika yapıcılara ve planlamacılara yardımcı olmak için ArcGIS ve SPSS yazılımını kullanarak parsel düzeyinde bir sürdürülebilirlik değerlendirme endeksi geliştirmeye odaklanmaktadır. Kendisi 2013 yılında QUT Üstün Doktora Tezi Ödülü’nü almıştır. 2015-2016 yılları arasında New South Wales Üniversitesi’nde Doktora Sonrası Araştırma Görevlisi olarak araştırmalar yürütmüştür. Dergilerde, kitaplarda ve konferans bildirilerinde çok sayıda makale ve bildiri yayınlamıştır. Ortak yazarlı yayınlarından biri Web of Science’ta 2015 En Çok Atıf Alan Makale Ödülü’nü almıştır.
Didem Dizdaroğlu is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Landscape Architecture, Istanbul Technical University. She received her BSc. and MSc. degrees in Landscape Architecture from Istanbul University and Istanbul Technical University (ITU), Turkey, respectively. She received her Ph.D. degree from the Department of Urban Planning, Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Australia. Her PhD. thesis focuses on developing a parcel-level sustainability assessment index using ArcGIS and SPSS software to assist policy makers and planners to investigate the impact of urban development on ecosystems and propose effective environmental policies for sustainable urban development. She is the recipient of the QUT’s Outstanding Doctoral Thesis Award in 2013. She carried out research at the University of New South Wales as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow from 2015 to 2016. She has published numerous articles and papers in journals, books, and conference proceedings. One of her co-authored publications received the Largest Number of Highly Cited 2015 Papers in Web of Science Award.
